Flaka beach – A hidden gem not far from Durres, Although it has become a trendy destination in recent years, Albania still has many hidden beaches waiting to be visited by local and foreign tourists. One of these is definitely Flaka beach. The latter is a village in the district of Durres, whose beach extends immediately after the area of “Bishti i Pallës”. Just 11 kilometers from Durres, Fllaka beach is transforming over time into a very popular tourist destination, where it is possible to relax in complete tranquility, on a sandy beach with very clean water.
Fllaka beach is increasingly popular due to its excellent geographical position, clear water, wide sandy coast, the splendid green crown of the pine forest and the service at cheap prices in the restaurants.
This destination offers the possibility of total relaxation in an area yet to be discovered, even if more and more citizens of Tirana and Durres have already included it (and continue to do so) in the list of places to spend a pleasant and peaceful weekend.
Although investments are still minimal, they have increased in recent years, giving tourists the choice between a public and private beach.
Investments in bars and clubs are purely symbolic for the moment; however, it is still possible to find very nice places to have lunch or stop for a coffee. The premises are almost all built in wood, while the kitchens generally offer traditional meals.
Evenings on Fllaka beach offer several surprises: the few restaurants in this area have created a very nice and relaxing environment, where you can spend pleasant evenings and from where it is possible to contemplate fantastic sunsets.
