SKORANA GORGE

Skorana Gorge, It is located in the middle course of the Erzen River near the Black Cave and Pëllumbas village. It is a canyon formed by the erosive activity of the river with the same name in the limestone rocks.
The gorge of Skorana is about 1 km long, over 120 m deep and about 20 m wide. The slopes are steep and covered with bush vegetation. This gorge also constitutes an interesting karst ecosystem. On its left slope, a few tens of meters below the Black Cave, a large karst spring emerges.
Skorana Gorge can be visited by following the Tirana – Ibë – Pëllumbas highway for about 27 km.
